This year was the first time Malta’s Independence Day was celebrated in Latvia. Malta’s Honorary Consul in Riga, Dr Janis Zelmenis hosted diplomats and other distinguished guests for a reception at The Radisson Hotel overlooking the Daugava River. During the reception guests were also treated to a tasting of our wines. The tasting was conducted by Meridiana’s Estate Manager Karl Chetcuti who flew to Riga for the occasion. The wines tasted were the Astarte, the Isis, the Fenici Rose, the Melqart and the Nexus. We would like to thank Dr Zelmenis and his team for this great opportunity.
